About me
Yoga begins right where I am – not where I was yesterday or where I long to be.
Hey there beautiful people!
My name is Dannielle, the face behind Mind Body Aroma.
I am a mom of a beautiful little girl, two furbabies, and have been married to my high school sweetheart since 2012. I am a lover of nature, hiking, traveling, and being at the beach. You can always find me drinking a warm cup of tea, reading, or baking whenever I can. My favorite season is fall and I love when it rains.
I’m a DONA Certified Doula, a 200 HR RYT Yoga instructor, and a Doterra essential oil consultant.
One thing to know about me is that I have a passion for helping people, and a passion to serve. I believe that pregnancy and birth should not be something that we should be afraid of but to celebrate. I believe in creating a village that helps support families in a way that feels right for them and where they feel empowered to make the decisions that are right for their family through evidence-based education.
Yoga and my pregnancy journey
I started yoga as many do, as a physical practice. Yoga made me feel physically strong and gave me energy. Then in 2020 I became pregnant. At that point yoga started to become a way to go more inward and a way to connect with my daughter as I did my physical practice of yoga.
In 2021, after complications in birth that resulted in an emergency C-section, I was hit with postpartum depression. My mind and body had gone through a trauma that I struggled to get out of. I naturally came back to the practice of yoga but also came into the practice of meditation and breath work. The combination of the two made me feel more centered and more at peace with myself and I was able to finally heal from my PPD.
To me yoga is everything. It is my practice, both on and off the mat, and I integrate it with my everyday life for peace.
My background is in Hatha, Yin, Prenatal, Meditation, and Flow. There is no right or wrong way in the practice yoga, and for each person it will look different. Whatever your reason is for coming to yoga, I look forward to sharing my knowledge and holding space for you.
Please feel free to message me if you have any questions or would like to discuss setting up a session.
See you on the mat! Namaste.
